Over the last 12 months PurePac have been proud to be playing a part in the development of 42 kilometres of new rail tunnels under London.
The Crossrail project will link existing Network Rail services in the east and west with the new underground stations at Paddington, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon, Liverpool Street and Whitechapel.
PurePac have provided IBCs containing the specialist chemical to assist the eight giant tunnelling boring machines, which are being used to construct the new tunnels.
Without the specialist chemical, provided in PurePac IBCs, it would be impossible for each of the 1,000 tonne machines to weave their way between existing underground lines, sewers, utility tunnels and building foundations from station to station at depths of up to 40m.
