I appreciate that you’re a busy man, especially at this time of year. But I’ve got a special request. I’ve been a good girl this year and I’m really hoping that you can help.
It’s been yet another challenging week in the packaging sector and I mean challenging; we’ve been firefighting in every direction. Although underreported by the media, these are difficult times for manufacturing companies. There have been plant closures, production issues, raw material supply issues and the transport sector continues to struggle.
The UK packaging manufacturers are certainly feeling this too with lead times permanently at eight weeks, many are leaning on their European plants to meet the rising packaging demand within the UK. How are your elves coping with the supply chain delays? It must be a nightmare for them too.
Anyway, PurePac is working hard to juggle high demand with stock shortages and delivery delays. Firstly, I was wondering if you could make market conditions more favourable for our industry next year? That’s what I’d really like for Christmas.
Secondly, the PurePac team has been marvellous, consistently thinking of ways around difficult situations over the last few weeks. So, I was wondering if you can make sure they’re top of your ‘good list’ this year.
