This week I’ve been thinking about things green. More specifically – reusing and recycling.
I don’t often talk about the reconditioning arm of PurePac. Mainly because in recent years, we’ve been working hard on developing the new packaging distribution side of the business.
But reconditioning IBCs is at the foundation of PurePac and it still plays a vital role in our customer activities. Many of our customers order reconditioned IBCs alongside new packaging items, as well as having their used IBCs recycled. Some even have their used IBCs cleaned and returned to them for multiple uses.
Customers can also order mixed loads and have their used packaging taken away at the same time. This helps to reduce the number of suppliers they need to work with, benefitting budgets and the environment.
However, not all products are suitable for reconditioned IBCs, for instance, food/drinks and personal hygiene materials. But, if you can use reconditioned IBCs, it’s a great way to save on costs as well as doing your bit for the environment.
