As much as I ended up loving ChemUK 2025, I’ll be honest – I really didn’t want to go and I nearly cancelled PurePac’s attendance. Not because of the event itself, but because of what it brought back to me.

Last year was PurePac’s first time exhibiting at ChemUK, and I couldn’t be there. My mum was suffering severely with her mental health, and shortly before the event, she made the heartbreaking decision to leave this world behind. It’s a painful truth that still doesn’t feel real – the kind of loss that leaves a permanent mark.

So, when it came to preparing the stand this year, I struggled. But I put on a brave face, and you know what? It helped. It genuinely helped.

Setting up, laughing through these blooper moments during the Q&A filming, seeing so many familiar faces and making new connections reminded me why I love what I do, and why pushing through matters.

Last year, I quietly dedicated our company promo to my mum. This year, I want to dedicate the entire PurePac stand to her. Because I know she was there with my dad, looking down on me and giving me that little push to keep going.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, shared a conversation or gave a kind word.

Thank you also to the PurePac team, who helped make the event memorable for all the right reasons.

PS Check out my bloopers – I’m asked a question, and my answer is “I have no idea” and then revert to “I bought the chocolates”. 🍫🤣🤯
