Today I was visiting a customer to discuss our IBC and drum collection services when something slightly louder than a forklift grabbed my attention… ✈️

For those who don’t know, at PurePac we collect used IBCs and drums, professionally clean them, and resell them as quality second-hand packaging. If a unit can’t be reconditioned, we make sure it’s recycled through the correct channels — ensuring used packaging never becomes waste. Sustainability in action.

Now, I’m normally an unapologetic packaging-spotting geek. A tidy stack of IBCs? I’m in heaven.

But today… move over IBCs, you’ve got competition. A rather impressive RAF jet flew directly over the customer’s site and, I have to admit, my attention was very quickly redirected skywards.

I can’t reveal the location, but let’s just say there were plenty of seasoned plane spotters nearby, and I could quite easily have joined them for a few hours. It was seriously impressive stuff.

Unfortunately, responsibility (and a very long drive back to the office) called.
