When our new DAF curtainsider was ready for collection from Brian Currie, Milton Keynes, our driver Sarah Christian volunteered to drive her back to base. We have been referring to our new DAF as the new 'PurePac beauty', so it seemed fitting to have our lovely Sarah at the wheel.

The new DAF isn’t just a good-looking truck, she comes with lots of accessories to make our drivers’ day more pleasant as well as new safety features to keep other road users and pedestrians safe. Top of the drivers’ request list was high powered air conditioning, followed by digital radio, high spec’d driver's seat with armrests and the all-important hands-free truck phone. Our new vehicle also has Direct Vision Standard (DSV); I'll tell you more about that later.

A big thanks to Jamie Johnston and the team at Brian Currie Milton Keynes for supplying our new DAF LF 260, we’re all delighted with her.

Sarah says “I was privileged to be the first member of staff to drive our brand new, shiny lorry out of the forecourt. At first, I found it odd to be reaching for the clutch and gear stick only to find thin air! But I soon got used to the automatic gears, relaxed, sat back and cruised along, very nice indeed!”

So, if you see Sarah or another member of the PurePac team out on the roads, be sure to give them a little wave.
