It’s been a while since our last packaging geek post – definitely overdue. But now that the holiday season is well and truly here, the team has been firing in some brilliant geeky packaging spots from across Europe. And this week, it’s all about the mighty reconditioned 200L steel drum 💪🌍

First up – a great find in Honfleur, France where a set of reconditioned steel drums have been transformed into tall bar tables. Painted in the branding colours of the brewery, they look fab and give serious character to the outdoor space.

But the one that really caught my eye – and something I’ve never seen before – is a clever conversion of open-top reconditioned steel drums into washing basins at a camper van park in Faro, Algarve. Such a unique and creative reuse! 🚿🛢️

It’s brilliant to see packaging living a second life beyond its original purpose – and looking great doing it.

👀 Have you spotted any packaging in disguise on your travels? We'd love to see your finds!
