PurePac take delivery of their first load of Schutz IBCs proudly sporting the brand new Safeguard Valve. The new intuitive design incorporates the same quality mechanism and components, but now with the vastly improved method of opening and closing the valve using just the handle. Plus you no longer need to use external clips or screws to secure the valve.
The new design means:
- Unintended opening of the valve is effectively prevented
- No external tools are required to initially open the valve
- Operating the valve now becomes a simple process using only your thumb
- The originality strip clearly shows you if the valve has already been opened for the first time
- It is easy to secure the valve after discharge without the need for clips or screws
As per the above pictures, you simply lift the latch up and turn the handle to discharge. Once discharge is complete, you simply push the latch back down and turn the handle back to its original position – the valve is now secure – it is that simple.

There is even the ability to add a cable tie between the latch and the cap – what an intuitive design – we would expect nothing less from Schutz!
