PurePac are ideally looking for used IBCs which are in a good condition, whereby the inner plastic bottle can be put through a specialist cleaning process so the whole unit can be sold for reuse. Some IBC inner plastic bottles cannot be cleaned for reuse, for example IBCs containing resins or coloured inks do not wash due to the nature of the filling material, the resins remain on the inner walls and the inks penetrate the plastic resulting in stained plastic bottles.
Even if your company has IBCs which have previously contained materials you believe may not wash, still give PurePac a call as we may have a cleaning answer. If we cannot clean the inner bottle, PurePac may still be interested in purchasing your IBCs for just the cage. We can remove and recycle the old inner plastic bottle and replace with a brand new IBC bottle, selling on as a rebottled IBC.
Please note that PurePac can only collect IBCs which have a minimal residue remaining in the bottle – less than 1% of the overall volume of the IBC.
