Sometimes, the most important things happening in a business are the ones the outside world can’t see. In PurePac’s case, it’s iBOS, our bespoke Integrated Business Operating System.
This small glimpse shows some of our navigation menus, weekly news updates and the key websites we use every day. The real workings of iBOS remain behind the scenes, but the system has become a huge part of our journey.
We started developing iBOS in 2022 and launched it in March 2023. The initial aim was to give us greater flexibility and control over order processing. Since then, the business has evolved, and iBOS has developed with it. It's now the central engine behind almost everything we do.
It manages customer quotations, CRM, invoicing, purchasing and supplier invoices. It also supports fleet planning, pallet networks, hauliers and individual driver schedules, which are sent directly to remote handsets.
Behind the scenes, iBOS helps us manage production planning, reconditioned stock levels, product pricing, specifications and PPWR documentation.
We’re still only scratching the surface. The next phase includes business task workflows and a new section dedicated to compliance and audits.
iBOS evolves daily, sometimes hourly, and it’s amazing to look back at how far it has come.
Our ambition is for every aspect of PurePac to be connected, with each process, department and task working together through one integrated system.
It’s a huge undertaking, but one that is helping us build a more connected, efficient and scalable business for the future.
I’ll keep you updated as the project develops. Wish me luck!
