Summer is officially here and many of us are thinking about holidays. Chris Brady, our Warehouse & Transport Manager decided to beat the crowds and headed to Egypt for a well-deserved break. But unfortunately, during his jolly hols, Chris was struck down with a nasty bug. That's right, you guessed it, the ghastly packaging geek bug took another unsuspecting victim!
Since hearing the news, I have taken precautionary measures to educate the PurePac team on the signs and symptoms of the bug. They include:
- General preoccupation with packaging products
- Wanting to talk excessively about packaging products
- The strong desire to photograph packaging products - particularly on holidays
Whilst sitting on the floor of a tiny straw and mud hut in the middle of the desert, enjoying some Egyptian tea, Chris spotted this lone IBC. I thought he would have been looking out for camels or taking in the local flora and fauna. But the packaging bug struck hard, Chris didn't stand a chance against its power.
Sadly, Chris had multiple episodes and was struck down the next evening. Whilst visiting a star gazing spot, he stood on something familiar in the sand – it was only a plastic bung from an L Ring Drum!
Chris is fully recovered now but it makes me wonder, who will be next...?
