It's something I've heard many times as a business owner.
I remember someone once saying to me, "Well, you have a nice car, don't you?"
I smiled, but I remember thinking, "Yes... because I've worked incredibly hard for it."
People often see the end result. What they don't see are the years of early starts, late finishes, weekends spent working, difficult decisions and the responsibility that comes with running a business.
I've always had a strong work ethic, but owning a business takes that to another level.
As I write this, I'm sitting at the airport with my laptop open, making the most of the time before boarding. Running a business doesn't stop because you're going away. You learn to fit work around life, rather than the other way around.
And I'm genuinely okay with that.
I'm not looking for sympathy. I chose this path, and I'm incredibly proud of what we've built at PurePac.
So, the next time someone looks "lucky", remember you're probably only seeing the result, not the years of hard work, resilience and commitment that made it possible.
Success rarely happens by accident. More often than not, it's earned.
