Did you know your used IBCs, steel and plastic drums have a residue value? Many companies still give their used IBCs and drums away to reconditioners and receive nothing in return. Some reconditioners actually charge to take good quality IBCs away. PurePac’s rule of thumb “if the IBC or drum can be reconditioned we will pay you for them” even if we can only recondition the IBC cage, PurePac will pay for the cage.
At PurePac we pay for good quality IBC tanks and drums, so you could create a new revenue stream from your used packaging which you have no requirement for.
PurePac also provide a regular and efficient collection service, meaning you don’t need to worry about storage issues, as we all know IBCs and drums take up a great deal of precious and expensive storage space.
In order to determine whether PurePac can process your used packaging, our team will ask you the following questions:
- Manufacturing Brand of IBC (this can be found on the metal label plate) – Schutz, Mauser, Werit or other
- Type of Pallet – Metal, Plastic or Wooden Pallets
- Size of Valve – 2” standard size or large valves 3”?
- Previous Contents – what the containers have previously held
- Residues – are there any significant residues remaining in the containers
- Quantities & Frequency – the number for collection and whether it will be a regular collection
- Current Location – where the containers are to be collected from
