Earlier this year, packaging manufacturers Schutz began production of their ‘Green Layer’ products and fellow manufacturer Mauser launched their ‘Infinity Series’. Both use multi-layer technology to incorporate recycled polymers/resins to create eco-friendly packaging options.
For nearly 50 years PurePac has been reconditioning used industrial packaging like IBCs and drums for reuse, doing our small part to reduce industrial reliance on new packaging. With our history of providing reconditioning and recycling services, adding this new ecological packaging to our product portfolio makes perfect sense.
We currently stock Schutz Green Layer MX Natural IBCs and will soon be adding MX Blacks IBCs to the mix. From Mauser’s Infinity Series, we have the 220L in both Tightheads and Open Tops, as well as 120L Open Top Drums.
These eco-packaging products are made with a minimum of 30% recycled materials, meaning the Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) is significantly reduced or better still, sometimes eradicated, which is a great cost saving.
