Stirring things up…with the Schutz Impeller

PurePac are adding some new IBC accessories to their portfolio.  Starting with the single-use Impeller.  Pre-inserted at the Schutz factory, it is connected and fully integrated into the IBC via the screw cap on the top of the IBC.

While filling your IBCs the Impeller can either be briefly removed or remain in place, this is determined by your specific filling process.

To stir the contents a conventional stirrer drive can be used without the need for conversion or modification.  The drive is placed above the cap and is fixed in place on the steel cage with the aid of a frame.

The drive shaft locks into the bung of the screw cap which transmits the rotation to the Impeller inside the container.  The Impeller has movable wings that change their position depending on the centrifugal force.  The speed is individually adapted to the filling level.  As the speed decreases, the wings sink, ensuring optimum stirring results even with smaller residual quantities.

The real benefit of an integrated Schutz Impeller is the IBC can remain closed throughout the entire supply chain, from filling to discharge, and still allow the filling products to be stirred as and when needed conveniently and effectively.

The Schutz Impeller is available for the 1,000L model with DN150 openings.  It is not currently a PurePac stock item, however, we will be more than happy to discuss your requirements and place your order.
