When are you hoping to get back to the office?

The SPI-M (Scientific Pandemic Influenza Modelling group) announced this week that the fall in Covid-19 deaths in England is running around three weeks ahead of the modelling estimates.  Midpoint projections estimated that deaths in England would not fall below 200 a day until around mid-March, but the amazing news is that point was reached on 25th February.

So, given the falling Covid-19 death rates, the vaccination programme making superb tracks and the scientific data looking much better than predicted; when do you think you and your teams will be returning to the office?

Clearly, we don’t want to lift lockdown too soon and risk undoing all the positives listed above. However, with global results showing the vaccines reduce the risk of infection by 70 per cent after one dose and 85 per cent after two doses, surely this will soon give us the green light to get back to our working office environments?

I know one thing for sure, I really miss having everyone on site. The empty offices feel so lonely and even though we have a Teams video call every day – it just isn’t the same as seeing everyone in person.

With all this positive news, do you think we’ll still be waiting until 21st June for the “work from home if you can” statement to be lifted?  Or do you think we will make faster tracks back to the office?
